Qld: Alleged killer doctor refused bail

BRISBANE, Jan 19 AAP - A doctor who allegedly murdered a pregnant female patient because
she was pursuing a professional complaint against him was today refused bail for the second
time by the Queensland Supreme Court.
Michael McGrane, 37, of Upper Mt Gravatt, in Brisbane's southern suburbs, is charged
with murdering Yuen Ling Chan between January 24 and February 1, 1997.
English-born McGrane and his wife ran a surgery at Stones Corner in Brisbane's inner
southern suburbs.
